Recreating the experience of the nationally-known race, the Color Run, to raise money for the Cyril B. Busbee Elementary/A.L. Corbett Middle Schools Parent-Teacher Organization, is the upcoming Color-A-Thon.

The event will start at the downtown Wagener Pavilion on April 18.

Registration is $25 and will end March 20.

"Each registration includes a Color-A-Thon T-shirt and color dye pack," according to the event's website.

Completed forms can be sent to BECMS PTO, Attn: Color Run; 20 A.L. Corbett Circle; Wagener, S.C.., 29184.

Check-in will start at 7 a.m. for the Fun Run, which will begin at 8 a.m., and 7:30 a.m. for the 5K, which will begin at 8:30 a.m.

"As you run/walk/dance through the course, you will get showered in safe, eco-friendly, plant-based powdered dye at every zone, turning you into a moving target of fun," the website further states.

The Color-A-Thon is presented through the School-A-Thon organization, which "was created to provide a fun, interactive alternative to traditional fundraisers,"

"The Color-A-Thon is more than just another run. It's a chance to bond with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers while enjoying a super fun way to advocate for a healthier lifestyle, and it's a great way to give back to our school," according to the event's website.
