Carowinds has debuted the world's tallest and fastest "Giga" roller coaster.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday, and the public got it's first chance to ride the monster coaster.

Fury 325 peaks at 325 feet and then drops at 81 degrees, reaching speeds of up to 95 miles per hour, according to the amusement park's website. The trip along the 6,602 feet steel track is about three-minutes and 25-seconds.

Swiss design firm Bolliger & Mabillard designed the roller coaster, according to the website. The firm has designed more than 90 roller coasters including three others in Carowinds: Vortex in 1992, Afterburn in 1999 and The Intimidator in 2010.

Carowinds is located on the North and South Carolina border in Charlotte and Fort Mill.
