Two men were jailed on drug charges after police pulled over a vehicle in Bath for driving erratically, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.

Darin Mabrey, 37, of North Augusta, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a stolen handgun, unlawful carrying of a handgun, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and driving under suspension-third offense.

Deangelo Singletary, 35, of Augusta, was charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance.

Mabrey and Singletary were placed in the Aiken County detention center, where they remained Thursday afternoon.

Officers spotted a black Chrysler 300 driving erratically on Augusta Road in Bath about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to Capt. Eric Abdullah, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. They stopped the car and soon discovered that the driver, Mabrey, had a suspended license, police said.

After interviewing Mabrey and Singletary, officers found "a quantity" of methamphetamine on both suspects, Abdullah said. Inside the car, they found three handguns, one of which was stolen out of Georgia, "an assortment of drug paraphernalia" and U.S. currency.
