NORTH AUGUSTA - The North Augusta High School robotics program is sharing its award-winning success with the rest of city and Aiken County by housing an exhibit in the North Augusta Arts and Heritage Center.

The team displayed their Won and Done invention Monday, and senior Jonathan Grimm spoke about the team's ability to win state and compete in San Antonio, Texas, at a national competition.

The Won and Done robot collects balls about the size of a softball using a device that resembles a PlayStation controller. The robot can then travel back to a holder and drop the balls back into their original spot.

"We saw what we had to do at state and we put all of the best ideas into one robot and ended up scoring 11th highest in San Antonio," Grimm said. "I wanted to leave an impact at the school and since this is my last year, I spent as much time as I could doing it. So I'm very proud of what we accomplished."

Andree Wallgren, the executive director of the center, said the exhibit will be on display through Friday at the center, 100 Georgia Ave.

"The story of their journey will be on display all week, and we're excited to take part in displaying their success," Wallgren said.
