St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church's Father Dale Klitzke calls Christian musician John Michael Talbot one of his heroes.

The church will present An Evening with John Michael Talbot, a night of Christian song, message and mediation, at 7 p.m. Saturday at USC Aiken's Etherredge Center, 471 University Parkway.

Tickets are $20, $25 and $30, with proceeds going to local organization Area Churches Together Serving (ACTS).

"We're out trying to get the message out of encouraging - revival to America," Talbot said.

"This will be an evening of music and sharing."

An evangelist who is considered a "Christian music pioneer," Talbot has taken a vow of poverty, began the Brothers and Sisters of Charity at Little Portion Hermitage Monastery, has written more than 20 books, has recorded more than 50 songs, has won awards such as the Dove Award for Worship Album of the Year and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences' President's Merit Award and hosts The Church Channel's "All Things Are Possible" show.
