A North Augusta woman was arrested Saturday on criminal domestic violence charges after she assaulted her boyfriend following his attempt to end their relationship.
According to an Aiken County Sheriff's Office incident report, Shelly Salvesen, 28, attacked her boyfriend after he told her he intended to end their longterm relationship.
Salvesen physically assaulted him by striking him multiple times with a closed fist, according to the report.
Salvesen's boyfriend admitted to defending himself by shoving her, but officers arrested Salvesen for being the primary aggressor, police said.
