The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating the burglary of a downtown business early Wednesday.
Officers responded to a burglar alarm at Palmetto Package and Fine Wine about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and found the front right glass door shattered, according to an incident report. A black leather glove was also found on the sidewalk about 50 feet from the broken door.
Inside the store, officers found a shelf containing Grey Goose vodka that appeared to have been tampered with, police said.
A brick was located about halfway into the store, the report states. Officers found a stack of bricks in The Alley that matched the brick located in the store.
No arrests have been made, and no suspects are listed in the report.
