Federal investigators are offering a $5,000 reward in the unsolved case of a man who was shot to death at a North Augusta apartment complex earlier this year.

Donnie Lee Brooks Jr., 23, died Jan. 11 at Ridgeview Manor Apartments after being shot, officials have said. The shooting happened about 2:45 a.m., and also left a male juvenile with a gunshot wound to the foot.

No suspects have been identified, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced Wednesday it is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Brooks' killer.

The case is being investigated by the ATF Regional Anti-Gang Enforcement Unit, which consists of ATF, North Augusta Public Safety, Aiken Public Safety, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office and the State Law Enforcement Division.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call ATF at 1-888-ATF-TIPS (888-283-8477).
