Millbrook Elementary was put on a soft lockdown Friday after a parent threatened a faculty member.

The suspect, a student's mother, was arrested for disturbing schools and placed on trespass notice after threatening a teacher, according to an Aiken Department of Public Safety.

The incident occurred about 7:30 a.m. as students were dropped off at the school. According to the report, the subject entered the wrong car line. A teacher told the parent that the car line was only for 4K students but she continued to walk her child into the school. The parent returned and told the teacher that she "would come back and hurt her," the report read. Two other faculty members approached the parent, and told police that she started screaming and using profanity in front of students, parents and other staff members.

The parent then threatened to bring her fiance to the school "to take care of the problem, according to the report.

The school was then put on a soft lockdown until the issue was resolved.

After the parent left, she was later located by police and she said that there was no major disturbance.

The mother said before her arrest that she wanted to apologize to the school, the report read.
