With three elementary school principals retiring, the Aiken County School District will hold public input opportunities next week as part of the search for successors - both at the schools and online.
The retirees are Janet Vaughan, Hammond Hill Elementary School; Denise Huff, Millbrook Elementary School; and Wendy Jacobs, North Augusta Elementary School.
Public input sessions will be held at media centers - Millbrook at 5:50 p.m. Monday and 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Hammond Hill.
Input for those schools also can be provided on a drop-down portal on the District website at www.acps.schoolfusion.us.
A year ago, North Augusta Elementary School parents and community residents provided input on the process that resulted in Jacobs' appointment. Those suggestions and feedback will be used to guide the selection of a candidate. Those wishing to provide additional input can contact Deputy Superintendent David Caver at dcaver@acpsd.net, or Associate Superintendent Dr. Cecilia Hewett at chewett@acpsd.net.
