A drive-by shooting occurred at a home on the 500 block of Pershing Drive in North Augusta Friday afternoon.
Six shots were fired into the home. The bullets penetrated the walls and went into the home, according to Melissa Hanna, who lives in the neighborhood where the shooting occurred. Hanna is the executive editor of the Aiken Standard.
Residents were in the home when the shooting occurred, but nobody was injured, Hanna said.
Witnesses who live in the neighborhood and saw the shooting are reporting the suspect vehicle was a white SUV with at least two occupants, Hanna said. The tag on the back on the back of the vehicle was reportedly covered at the time of the shooting, she said.
