Aiken Public Safety and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division are investigating a shooting that left one person injured.
The condition of the victim, who was transported to an area hospital, is unknown.
According to a press release, police responded to residential burglary on the 300 block of Brown Lane at 5:24 a.m. Saturday. When officers arrived they found a man with a gunshot wound. The individual was not a resident of the home that officers responded to, according to the press release.
The SLED Crime Scene Team is processing the incident location. The case is in the early stages of investigation.
