On Monday, 14 Aiken restaurants will open their doors for the annual Children's Place Inc. fundraiser - Celebrity Waiter Night.
Children's Place is "a charity that has helped thousands of young children tackle social and emotional challenges caused by abuse, neglect or simply by growing up in an at-risk family," a press release said.
Participating this year will be: Casa Bella; Davor's Café; Grumpy's Sports Pub; Houndslake Country Club; Linda's Bistro; Newberry Hall; Mellow Mushroom; Takosushi; The Red Pepper; The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation; The Restaurant at The Willcox; Travinia Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar; Up Your Alley Chophouse and WingPlace.
"The event offers meals that include everything from pizza to sushi and atmospheres from tailgating fun to fine dining elegance," as stated in a press release.
The base price is $25; some restaurants will have their own pricing.
"The addition of 'Rivals in The Alley' is making this year's event even more interesting.
"The Aiken Clemson Crew will be at Takosushi, battling it out with the Aiken Gamecock Crew, which is waiting tables at Up Your Alley Chophouse," as stated in a press release. "In addition, teams from Aiken High and South Aiken will compete at Mellow Mushroom, the newest restaurant to join the event."
This event has occurred since 1995.
