Earlier this month, the Aiken Area Akademie Homeschool/South Aiken Baptist Christian School Band held its spring concert.
On Thursday, the combined group will present a solo and ensemble concert at Carolina Bay Nature Preserve, on Price Avenue.
The free performance will be held at 6:30 p.m. and will be canceled in case of inclement weather, according to director Barb Rollins.
At least some of Rollins' students who performed during Aiken High School's Solo and Ensemble Festival last month will perform.
"That means each student played a solo with piano accompaniment and played in a duet, trio or quartet," Rollins said.
Other features of the concert will be the group's Bucket Brigade, which is a section that plays on plastic buckets, and the advanced players from the South Aiken Baptist Christian School Band performing "China Grove."
