Praying

Matthew 18:20 also said "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." And so we were on National Prayer Day. This would only bother Satan, who is cutting off the heads of our Christians. We were praying with thousands across the country.

Pipeline

Why isn't there a map showing exactly where the pipeline is going? Why won't they hold meetings in Aiken? Why do we want nuclear waste, a fuel pipeline and fracking? We are on a major fault. The only thing worse is the genetically modified potato runoff poisoning the Edisto.

Bike friendly

Giving the city administrator a bike would result in another extended hunt for a replacement. Remember, this town is not bike friendly. Six hundred a month versus another hunt for an administrator?

Not a good sign

It's not a good sign that no one is showing up to a job fair. They're not showing up because they are all part of the system and don't need to work.

Cutting grass

Here we are having to beg people to cut the grass again. A woman already had a wreck because she couldn't see. We pay taxes. They need to cut the sides of these roads.

Beaver dam

Aiken County should put a colony of beavers in Langley Pond. They would have the dam fixed in about two weeks.

Road maintenance

With the roads in the condition they're in - even the interstate needs repaving - why in the world are we spending millions to change the intersection at Trolley Run? Why is that a necessity? We need to maintain what we have. When will Council get the message that we don't have the money?

RV park

An RV park is not a trailer park. An RV owner stops for the night to rest and buy supplies. An RV owner would never stop at a trailer park for the night. Wal-Marts are cleaner, safer and happy to have the customer.

Low bidder

About 10 years ago, the County Council and the coroner had the same argument they're currently having. The coroner wanted Rucker and someone else was the low bidder. The contract was awarded to the lowest bidder, and within three months, the contract went back to Rucker. History does repeat itself.

Downtown

Downtown Aiken looks worse than the landfill. There are weeds all over the place and the medians look horrible. It needs to be turned into condos for the needy.
