Proceeds from an upcoming golf competition in Aiken will help provide a summer vacation for children who are underprivileged or have a speech or hearing disorder.
The Aiken Sertoma Club will hold its seventh annual Camp Sertoma Golf Tournament on June 15 at the Woodside Plantation Country Club. The event will start at noon.
Camp Sertoma of SC, which is on the shores of Lake Hartwell, offers six one-week sessions with activities such as nature hikes, sailing, cookouts, fishing, swimming and archery.
The cost for a team of four for the golf tournament, which will have a captain's choice format, is $340. Sponsorship opportunities, starting at $100, are available.
Lunch before play and a post-tournament steak dinner will be served.
Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams.
