Since pianist Gabriel Mangiante graduated from USC Aiken, he has gone on to win the 2012 Stephen Sondheim Young Artist Citation award and to work on musicals such as Steve Martin's and Edie Brickell's "Bright Star."
Mangiante will be part of Aiken Choral Society's spring concert The Great Chorus at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students and military.
The adult singers will perform pieces such as "The Heavens are Telling" from Haydn's "Creation;"
"Polyvtsian Dances" from Borodin's "Prince Igor;" and a medley from "West Side Story" by Leonard Bernstein.
The Georgia-Carolina Kiokee Quintet and the Thoroughbred Chorale of South Aiken High School also will perform.

Stephanie Turner graduated from Valdosta State University in 2012. She then signed on with the Aiken Standard.
