Four suspects are being sought by Aiken County Sheriff's deputies after an early morning robbery Friday.
Deputies responded to a burglary in progress call at 12:57 a.m. and found the two victims walking up Edgefield Highway from a neighbor's house from which they had called dispatch.
The victims told deputies they were in bed when one of them heard the door get kicked in. He got up and ran into the living room where one of the suspects was standing and pointing a shotgun at him. The suspect told him to get on the floor and started asking him where the money was in the house, according to reports.
The second victim said she was still in the bedroom and could hear the yelling coming from the living room, police said. The woman got up, opened the door and saw the suspect with his shotgun aimed at her, according to reports.
The woman said the suspect tried to calm her down by saying "they weren't going to kill anybody," police said.
The suspect also said "he had to do this or he and Tristen would be killed," according to reports.
Three other suspects went through the house and took various items.
The suspects then made the victims stand at the doorway while they loaded the items into their vehicles and left. The victims told officers the suspects left in a "white Mercedes-Benz" and a "black Chevy," according to reports.
Before leaving, the suspects told the victims if they called law enforcement they would come back and kill them, police said.
Items taken included: a Panasonic 20" flatscreen TV, Hibatachi 56" TV, Xbox One, diamond ring, Droid turbo cellphone and a sterling silver necklace.
