Excellent letter

Excellent letter to the editor in the May 14 edition on the shortcomings of the mayor and City Council being misguided. They ignore the will of the people, and come November, there need to be changes made.

Camera footage

Body camera footage paid for by the taxpayers must be made available to the public. If they want to keep the footage secret, the officers should have to buy their own cameras.

Nothing to do

People must be unmarried and have no kids and have nothing else to do to sit around and worry about state tags. Get a spouse.

A fine job

The person who thinks Tim Carlton shouldn't be coroner should know that it's County Council who's costing the taxpayers and should be out. Carlton is doing a fine job and should be left alone.

Fixing roads

Crosland Park roads are being dug up and they are not being paved. Our cars are getting torn up. When will these roads be fixed?

White line

If you pull past the wide white line at a red light, you are passing the activator that makes the light change.

Nickel a gallon

What's causing gas prices to go up a nickel a gallon once or twice a week?

Bonuses

I'm appalled by the number of government agencies that give out bonuses. They should live within their salaries.

The S.C. legislature should do away with the $800 bonus toward the state employees and put it toward fixing the roads.

Military equipment

I see that President Obama wants to further restrict the use of "military style" equipment used during riots by police departments. I wonder if he also plans to restrict the use of rocks, bricks, bottles and Molotov cocktails thrown at the police. Seems fair to me.
