The Aiken Technical College Foundation will award more than $75,000 in scholarships for the 2015-16 school year, and applications are needed by July 1.

"We're helping students in the community pursue their goal of higher education. Aiken Tech is a good value and with the scholarships, we can help students meet their financial needs," said Mary Commons, director of the ATC Foundation.

The foundation will award 25 $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors enrolling at ATC this fall as part of the Within Reach initiative - a joint effort between ATC and the Aiken County Public School District.

Also among new scholarships is the Roland and Peggy Smith Scholarship for 2015 graduates of Midland Valley and Silver Bluff high schools. Twenty $1,000 scholarships will be awarded.

Many other scholarships are available. Scholarship applications and a complete listing of scholarships and criteria are available at www.atcfoundation.org.
