Charlene Heard, Chukker Creek Elementary School's assistant principal, has been selected by Aiken County Board of Education as the new Warrenville Elementary School principal.
She will succeed Brad Watson, who is moving to the same role at Hammond Hill Elementary School.
Heard received a degree in early childhood education at USC Aiken in 2005. Two years later, she obtained a masters degree in divergent learning from Columbia College and in 2012, Heard received an education specialist degree from S.C. State University.
Since then, she worked in several teaching positions and as a technology instructional coach in Swansea. Heard joined the Chukker Creek administration in 2014.
