Dylann Roof, the suspect who opened fire inside a historic black church in downtown Charleston killing nine, is pictured wearing emblems of apartheid flags on Facebook.
In the main photo posted on Roof's Facebook page, two flag emblems are attached to Roof's jacket.
The top one is the former flag of South Africa. Apartheid ended in South Africa in 1994, following decades of oppression by a white minority in the country.
The second flag from is from Rhodesia - now known as Zimbabwe. Rhodesia also was ruled by a white minority until 1980.
