Ridge Peach Festival opens Friday in Trenton

TRENTON — Gospel music will open the 45th Ridge Peach Festival Friday at 6 p.m.

Performing will be Bill Edwards at 6 p.m.; Randy Bradley & Scared Ministries at 7 p.m.; Shaw Creek Baptist Church Choir at 7:30 p.m.; Joe Hillary and Son at 8 p.m.; and The Rev. Billy Smith and the Radio Angels at 8:30 p.m.

The gates will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, with the parade beginning at 10:30 a.m.

In addition to around 100 arts, crafts and food vendors, there will be rides, a softball tournament, a petting zoo and camel rides.

The day's live music will consist of Fort Gordon Signal Corps Band at noon; Palmetto Groove at 12:30 p.m.; Rhythm and Class Cloggers at 1:30 p.m.; Palmetto Groove at 2 p.m.; Rhonda McDaniel at 2:40 p.m.; and Steel Justice Band at 3:15 p.m.

Also making an appearance will be the Junior One Grand National Shag Champions.

Parking and admission are free, and shuttles will run to and from the park. An ATM will be available.

The festivities will take place at Trenton Town Park, 106 Church St., Trenton.
