The new American Contract Bridge League-sanctioned AikenAugusta Duplicate Bridge group will host its opening game Monday.
Refreshments will be served starting at 9:30 a.m., with the game beginning at 10 a.m., at the Cumberland Village Clubhouse, 3070 Wise Creek Lane.
"This beautiful location is convenient to Augusta and surrounding areas, as well as Aiken," said Maryanne Ebert of AikenAugusta bridge.
The group will meet at Cumberland Village to play every Monday at 10 a.m., charging $5 per game.
"Playing bridge is a wonderful way to exercise the brain," Ebert said. "The goal of AikenAugusta Duplicate Bridge is to provide a friendly, clean, fun environment for people to improve their bridge skills, meet new people and enjoy the challenges of an interesting card game with the opportunity to earn Master Points in recognition of their accomplishments."
