Edgefield County Administrator Lynn Strom will join Aiken County as the new finance director.
Strom was hired two weeks ago, and will start her new role with the County on July 13, according to County Administrator Clay Killian.
In May, the Aiken Standard reported the County was without a finance director, a position that was held by former Director Tammy Strange.
Before Strom was chosen as the Edgefield County administrator in 2012, she served as the assistant county administrator and the finance director for six years. Strom is a native of Edgefield and earned her bachelor's degree from USC Aiken and her master's at USC Columbia.
In other business, interim County attorney Jim Holly will become the County's permanent attorney beginning July 1, the start of the next fiscal year, Killian said. Holly took the interim position in December 2014, after then-attorney Lawrence Brown turned in his resignation. Holly was the previous County attorney before Brown, who served in that position for nearly five years.
