City Limits Vintage Marketplace is a unique mixture of antiques and history.

Karen Graham, the North Augusta business' owner, said she has everything ranging from decoration items for the season to memorabilia and even furniture and books.

"I buy new things," she said. "Everything is acquired from estates or consignors who bring in items from their family, or they're things they haven't used or don't want anymore."

She said every item in her store has its own story to tell. When she goes to estate sales, she acquires items no one else has and very few have seen. Some items, such as old magazines and tickets show local history from North Augusta, The Masters and more.

"I get a variety of all kinds of things," she said. "I get unique furniture. I don't want furniture you can just find anywhere. I want to get something that there isn't another one like it out there. I like old clocks and radios. I wouldn't say that I'm an antique store, but there are some things that are two and three hundred years old."

From the estate sales, Graham has amassed an impressive collection of photographs, post cards, art and books from local authors, artists and residents. As people move into the area from California, New York or beyond, she also gets interesting souvenir-type items from that region.

She also sells many things online. She buys sheds or houses full of items, and doesn't accept consignments from the public or offer booths.

"I have a lot of regulars who come in and help me out," she said. "They also want to come in and find things. They come here because they feel comfortable and at home. That's why, on my door, it says I'm also open for therapy."

City Limits Vintage Marketplace has been open for a little more than four years. It is located at 727 E. Buena Vista Ave., North Augusta.

The business buys and repairs furniture, and also manages estate sales. It is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
