An early morning fire that destroyed a Warrenville church is under investigation.
Firefighters responded to responded to a blaze at Glover Grove Baptist Church at 331 Project Road about 3:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. When first responders arrived, the fire was fully involved.
Langley and Midland Valley fire departments, and the Sheriff's Office responded to the scene. The fire was extinguished at 4:36 a.m., according to the Sheriff's Office.
No injuries were reported.
The origin of the fire is unknown at this time, and the church has been deemed a complete loss by investigators.
Forensic investigators are being assisted by the State Law Enforcement Division and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, according to the Sheriff's Office.
