An Aiken woman was killed in a two-car collision Saturday night.
Stacia Mock, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident that happened at the intersection of Reynolds Pond and Pipeline roads in Aiken, according to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton.
Stacia Mock was riding along with her husband Chris, who was driving east on Reynolds Pond Road, when they were struck by a vehicle traveling north on Pipeline Road, causing them to hit a tree, according to S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly. Investigators said the other vehicle, driven by William Currie, ran a stop sign.
Everyone was wearing a seat belts, and both drivers were transported to Georgia Health Sciences University, officials said.
Family members following the Mock's vehicle allegedly witnessed the crash, officials said.
The S.C. Highway Patrol's investigative unit is looking into the crash with the assistance of the Aiken County Coroner's Office.
Kelly said no charges have been filed at this time.
