Tickets are still available for the two-night performance-packed Aiken Community Playhouse Youth Wing "Broadway & Beyond" event.
Presented to benefit the Aiken Community Playhouse Youth Wing Immersion Program, "Broadway & Beyond" - formerly known as Broadway Bound - will run Friday and Saturday at the URS Center for the Performing Arts, 126 Newberry St. S.W.
The Immersion Program allows some of the Youth Wing students to travel to New York City to participate in the Broadway Student Summit conference and attend private workshops at The Juilliard School and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, from which Youth Wing Director Jim Anderson graduated.
The $45 tickets include the show admission, gala reception and priority seating, and the $25 tickets include just the show.
The gala reception will start at 6 p.m. and will include hors d'oeuvres catered by Newberry Hall and a cash bar.
To arrange preferred seating for the show, the ticket-holder must call the URS Center box office. The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. The $25 ticket-holders will be admitted starting at 7 p.m. and will have access to the cash bar.
With 32 students and a handful of adults, including five originals, "Broadway & Beyond" will feature songs from "Catch Me If You Can," "The Addams Family," "Big Fish," "Carousel," "Matilda" and "Kinky Boots."
