A man was arrested in connection to a residential fire in Warrenville that occurred Monday.
Kenneth William Treadaway is charged with third degree arson, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office. Treadaway was warrested on Carline Road Wednesday afternoon without incident.
Fire crews responded to the blaze in the 1700 block of Augusta Road Monday at 7:33 a.m. Witnesses told investigators that a man was seen running from the back door of the home that was on fire and gave a description of the suspect.
The Aiken Bloodhound Tracking team was called to the scene but the suspect wasn't located. According to the Sheriff's Office, a tip on who may have started the fire led to Treadaway's arrest.
No injuries were reported. The home was unoccupied and under renovation at the time of the fire, according to investigators.
