Children and their families are invited to the City of Aiken's ninth annual Springtime Lunch and Show on Wednesday, April 8.
Held by the City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department and Pepsi-Cola, this year's show at Citizens Park, 1060 Banks Mill Road, will feature Magic by Chaz, beginning at 11 a.m. The performance will last approximately 45 minutes and will include a variety of tricks such as mind reading and small-scale illusions, according to the press release.
The program will be held near the Citizens Park Sprayground, at the corner of Connector Road and Barry Johnson Boulevard, near the walking track.
Admission is open to all ages and free for all attendees, and people are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blanket and a picnic lunch.
After the magic show, families are invited to visit the Sprayground at Citizens Park.
The Sprayground just recently opened for the season, and will stay open through Oct. 1. Hours of operation are 1 to 8 p.m. Monday; 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Sprayground can be rented on both Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
