Windsor Jewelers will vacate its bus in front of the Aiken Mall, and instead, permanently locate inside the former Bruster's ice cream location off Whiskey Road.

The Bruster's, adjacent to Chick-fil-a, closed in November 2014. There was talk about whether the ice cream location would open back up, but since July, no such movement has taken place.

Wes Carter, with Windsor Jewelers's management, told the Aiken Standard the small business is shooting to move in by May 1. Carter said there are no plans to offer expanded services inside the new location right now, but staff have "talked about putting some showcases up in the future."

"Right now, we're just purchasing estate jewelry and coins from the public," Carter said. "We take coins, gold, silver, precious gems - that sort of thing."

There is no phone number for the new location; "We're still in the process of trying to fix the property up," Carter said.
