The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating after two drive-by shootings were reported at the same home in two days.

Officers responded to a drive-by shooting at a home on Wyman Street about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to an incident report.

The owner said she and several friends were inside when they heard a gunshot from the street. They looked outside and saw a white Lincoln turning around just past the home, and three more shots come from the car before it sped off toward Sommers Avenue, according to the report.

The owner said one of the bullets struck a bedroom window, and that about 30 minutes before the shooting, she saw a black van pass back and forth in front of her home several times, police said. Officers recovered seven rifle shell casings in front of the home and a rifle bullet in the bedroom closet.

The owner said another shooting happened outside her home Friday, but that she didn't report it "because she was not concerned about it," the report states. Another bedroom window was shot out during that incident, and officers found two holes in the home's exterior that did not penetrate into the home's interior, according to the report.

The homeowner's friends who had been inside corroborated her account of what happened.
