An arrest was made in an armed robbery that occurred at an Aiken convenience store after the suspect turned himself in to police.
Emerson Edwards, 18, of Aiken was charged with armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
The incident happened at the In and Out Store on 580 Laurens St. N.W. Sunday at 2:54 p.m. The suspect entered the store while armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk, according to a press release.
