Mead Hall Episcopal School and Aiken Preparatory School have agreed to merge following a series of meetings since late last week.
The two private schools are located about a mile part in the downtown area. Mead Hall will purchase Aiken Prep's 11-acre site and facilities located on Richland and Barnwell Avenues near Morgan Street.
Information sessions are planned Thursday at the Mead Hall cafeteria on the St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church campus as follows - pre-school and 5-K families at 5:30 p.m.; lower school families at 6:30 p.m.; and middle and upper school families at 7:30 p.m.
An open house will be held on the St. Thaddeus campus Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. An open house on the Aiken Prep campus will be scheduled later this summer.
