A Warrenville man was arrested and charged Thursday evening after a woman was assaulted at their home.
Billy Lunsford, 35, is facing criminal domestic violence charges, according to an Aiken County Sheriff's Office report.
Deputies responded to the incident on Olivia Way in Warrenville at 7:05 p.m.
The woman told deputies that Lunsford was drunk and angry when he began to punch her and then choke her, according to the report.
She told deputies Lunsford grabbed an unknown object and started cutting himself saying he would tell the police she assaulted him, according to the report.
Lunsford told deputies the fight reportedly began over finances, according to the report.
Lunsford was transported to the Aiken County detention center where he remained Friday morning.
