Deputies are investigating an armed robbery in Beech Island that happened Thursday night.
Aiken County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Pine Log Road off Beech Island Avenue at 9:40 p.m. where a man reported he had been robbed at gun point and his vehicle had been stolen, according to reports.
The man told deputies he was at the location because he was trying to sell a vehicle, police said.
An unknown subject met him at the location, took the car for a test drive and told the man he wanted to buy it, according to the reports.
The subject then pointed a pistol at the man and told him to empty his pockets, police said.
The subject drove away and left the victim at the location, according to reports.
The man told deputies the subject took $1,200 and his cellphone.
