An Aiken man is facing charges after multiple disturbances were reported in a residential area.

Jeremy Golding, 34, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of marijuana, according to the Aiken County detention center. He was arrested by Aiken Department of Public Safety officers after they responded to calls on Taylor Street at 6:57 p.m., according to a police report.

Multiple witnesses reported Golding was knocking on doors of multiple homes on Taylor Street asking if people he was looking for lived at their house, police said.

Officers made contact with Golding, who seemed intoxicated and smelled strongly of alcohol, according to reports.

Golding was arrested, and while being searched, officers found a small glass jar containing a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana, police said.

While being transported, Golding began hitting his head against the cage in the patrol vehicle, and continued hitting his head against the wall at the Aiken County detention center, according to reports.

Golding remained at the detention center Tuesday morning.
