A Fairfax man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop in Beech Island Wednesday.
Shawn West, 41, is charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, possession of marijuana and possession of acid.
Aiken County Sheriff's deputies responded to Hampton Avenue at 1:19 a.m. where they had received calls about a man walking around asking for gas and carrying a 2-liter bottle, according to a sheriff's report.
Deputies immediately recognized West from previous arrests, according to the report.
West was searched, and deputies found a bag of suspect marijuana, a plastic bag containing 1.1 grams of suspected meth and four hits of suspected acid, according to reports.
A bottle of pills was found, and inside was another bag of suspected marijuana and Adderall and Xanes pills, according to responding deputies.
West admitted the marijuana belonged to him, but the other drugs found were not, according to reports.
West was transported to Aiken County detention center where he remained Thursday morning.
