Aiken Department of Public Safety responded Tuesday to a report of an armed robbery on Edrie Oak Circle.
The victim said he was sitting on his porch when he saw three black juvenile males walking down the street. They passed him, then turned around and came back, the victim reported to police.
The victim asked whether the men were OK, and they said they were just "waiting for a ride," according to the incident report.
The victim said the suspects continued to stand outside his residence. After a short time, one of the suspects walked into the victim's yard and asked to use his phone. The victim said he could not and asked the suspects to leave, but the suspect then asked for water, according to the report.
The victim asked the men to leave again, at which point the suspect who asked for water put his hand in his waistband and told the victim to "give it up," according to police.
The victim gave them his phone, and the suspects ran away, the report states. The victim told officers he had never seen the three suspects before.
