The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating a domestic incident at a home on Two Notch Road on Monday.

The 46-year-old female victim said a 45-year-old man who lives with her in the residence had fled after calling her obscene names and threatening her to kill her after she refused to give him money to buy drugs.

According to the victim, the subject tore plants from the ground in the backyard and then threw a large pot containing a plant at her. She said he also burned some of her clothing in the backyard. Among the clothing items were all of her work uniforms. The responding officer reported seeing a large fire with clothing in it in a pit in the backyard and a large broken pot and a plant on the back deck of the home. The victim added that the subject took money from her purse before leaving the scene.
